Job Description
Prof. Imran Ali Shaikh is the Dean of Medicine & Allied and Director of Quality Assurance at LUMHS Jamshoro, where he also serves as Professor of Medicine and pioneered the OSPE system. A Fellow of CPSP (2002), he chaired the Department of Medicine (2020–2023) and has authored over 55 national and international publications, including a chapter in
“Foot and Diabetes” by IntechOpen, UK. He holds multiple fellowships — FACP (USA, 2019), FRCP (London, 2023), Fellow of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (2023), Fellow of Diabetes (IDF 2024, India 2025), and Fellow of Sex Medicine (India 2025) — and completed a fellowship in Vascular Neurology and Stroke (USA, 2024). A qualified diabetic specialist (IDF, 2019), he has supervised over 100 FCPS, 10 MD, and 3 PhD students. Known for innovation in diabetes and endocrinology, Prof. Shaikh has authored three medical education books, chaired two national quality education conferences, and serves as a CPSP university inspection expert, CIEC (HEC Sindh) member, and National Advisory Board member at AKU Karachi.
