Dr. Seemin Afshan Shiraz is a\r\nclinician who has been working in UAE for over twenty years and has special\r\ninterest in Leadership, Critical Care, Research and Academics. She is a\r\ngraduate of Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore and holder of Presidential\r\nAward of Pakistan during her MBBS. She is the Member of Royal College of\r\nPhysicians United Kingdom since 2007 after completion of her training in\r\nInternal Medicine at Al Qassimi and Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah. She has worked\r\nas Specialist Training Registrar in Critical Care at Rashid Hospital Dubai and\r\nattained European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine in 2009. She is certified for Health Professionals\r\nEducation. Currently she is practicing at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Dubai\r\nas Consultant Internal Medicine and specialist in Critical Care Medicine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Dr. Afshan is affiliated with Mohammed Bin Rashid University as a\r\nClinical Faculty. She has inclination towards academics and research and has\r\nbeen involved in setting up under graduate curriculum, Quality related projects\r\nand Research throughout her career. She has been involved in development of\r\nSeveral Clinical Practice Guidelines in various hospitals. She is an excellent teacher, and quite\r\nan inspiration to the interns and junior residents. <\/span>She has been\r\ninvolved in many teaching activities for the medical students, rotating interns\r\nand residents, nurses and other fellow physicians. This includes but are not\r\nlimited to CME activities and Workshops. She has several publications of her\r\nresearch work and review articles in the renowned, peer-reviewed journals.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Dr. Afshan has presented\r\nher work in posters and has participated as a Speaker in Local and\r\nInternational Medical Conferences, worldwide.
