A pre-conference workshop was organized by the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine in collaboration with Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore. The session was chaired by Prof. Tahir Masood Ahmed, Principal of RLMC. Prof. Arif Siddiqui and Prof. Anjum Butt co-chaired the session, while Prof. Asma Kazi moderated it.

The highlight of the workshop was a talk delivered by Prof. Aziz-ur-Rehman titled "Treating Diabetes Conveniently and Effectively with a Three-Drug Combo Pill." In his presentation, Prof. Aziz-ur-Rehman emphasized how metformin, empagliflozin, and linagliptin—three drugs from different classes—can complement each other’s functions to produce an excellent glucose-lowering effect without the risk of hypoglycemia.

The workshop was attended by approximately 150 people, including postgraduate students, residents, and faculty members. The participants showed great interest in the topic, as evidenced by an extended Q&A session. The talk received applause from the chair and co-chairs.
